If Apes Rise, It Probably Won't Be in San Francisco
Spoiler alert: the apes of San Francisco rise up at the end of Rise of the Planet of the Apes and put the human race on a collision course for extinction. If this scenario were to really happen, though, it wouldn’t likely start by the bay. BrowBeat contacted San Francisco zoo officials and the United States Department of Agriculture and found that only 25 apes currently reside in the Bay Area, meaning an ape uprising would likely be better contained than what’s presented in the late-summer blockbuster. Phew. Dodged a bullet there, humanity. [Slate/BrowBeat]

Conans Jason Momoa Explains Simple Stay In Shape Routine
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Former Game of Thrones hunk Jason Momoa continues to show off his ripped figure in his latest project, Conan the Barbarian, and he told Access Hollywood how he continues to stay in shape. You know, you gotta eat a lot of boiled chicken breasts and lift a lot of weights, he explained as he hit the premiere for his warrior film in Los Angeles on Thursday night, accompanied by wife Lisa Bonet. Thats what happens. A lot of heavy things, thats all. Recently, Jasons co-star Rose McGowan, who plays Marique in Conan the Barbarian, told The Advocate what she thought Jasons bottom in the film. His a** is epic, Rose said. And as Access read the quote to Jason on Thursday evening, he reacted to the compliment. I dont know how my a** is epic, Jason laughed. You, [yourself], cant actually quite see it, so you never really know. I dont know. My wife are you happy with it? Its good, Lisa chimed in. Its good Im proud. Proud, Jason laughed. There you go. While Jason brought his two children with Lisa daughter Iolani, and son Nakoa Wolf to the Conan set, it will be a while until their little ones are able to check out dad on the big screen. Not until theyre married with children, Jason said. When theyre 30, when theyre my age, theyll go watch it. Copyright 2011 by NBC Universal, Inc. John Cho Shoots Santa Claus in Hilarious Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas Trailer
If you’re already sick of seeing the same cheery holiday movie previews (and that would be unfortunate since it’s only August), behold: a yuletide trailer that will get your cynical juices flowing. How am I so sure? Because Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas offers the only preview clip in the history of man (and movie trailers) to begin with the words, “I shot Santa Claus in the face. He’s real and I shot him in the face.” Jump ahead to watch the stoner-on-Santa violence and to see what happens when Neil Patrick Harris runs into Jesus Christ at a bar. (It’s hilarious, I assure you). Because this has everything I look for in a movie — Neil Patrick Harris playing a lecherous version of himself, self-effacing 3-D jokes, 12-year-olds who play beer pong, Texas whorehouse humor, toddlers with “the munchies” — I will be seeing this in theaters the day it premieres, November 4. VERDICT: Yes, please. [via Yahoo!]
