(While Sheen didn't submit himself for an Emmy nomination this year, his former co-star Jon Cryer is up for a supporting actor nomination.) He gave exclusive TV interviews in each daypart -- morning (NBC's Today), daytime (The Wendy Williams Show) and late night (NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno) -- as well as a string of brief red carpet interviews ahead of the roast's taping last week. Sheen's balanced demeanor in recent public appearances has proved promising for Lionsgate, which is prepping a comedy star vehicle, Anger Management, for the actor. With showrunner Bruce Helford (Drew Carey Show) on board, executives are expected to shop the project to broadcast and cable networks shortly. THR revealed that several Emmy categories would be introduced Sunday by star-studded musical presentations by a group called the Emmingtons, which include Joel McHale, Taraji P.
